Purdy® Supplies You’ll Need

Step 1 Prep the floor

Thoroughly wash the floor with an appropriate cleaning solution per the instructions recommended by your coating’s manufacturer. Allow to dry.

Use a Premium 10-in-1 Multi-tool to fill any cracks and holes with putty, fix any popped nails, screw heads and other imperfections. Let the putty fully dry.

Sand the area and wipe the surface with a lint-free cloth.

Step 2 Tape

Tape off any surrounding areas with masking tape.

Step 3 Apply paint

Use your XL brush to cut in and around the perimeter of the floor. XL brushes provide excellent versatility and are great for all types of paint.

Use your Marathon roller and extension pole to apply paint in the direction of the floorboards. Marathon provides fast, even coverage and ensures that paint is applied in the small gaps between the floorboards. Once dry, apply second coat.

Remove masking tape and enjoy!

HELPFUL TIP
Always follow paint manufacturer’s label instructions for recoat and dry times. Avoid foot traffic until the paint is fully cured.
